Overview

This content has been reviewed by the National Cancer Institute for accuracy and completeness.

If you or a family member/friend has just been diagnosed with cancer, you are probably wondering, what do I do now? You are probably scared, overwhelmed and in shock.

This section of the website has been designed to help you better understand what cancer is.

It is informational in nature and is not meant to serve as a recommendation.

Remember, we are not doctors, always discuss all concerns and decisions with your medical and support teams.

The following sections will be under the Cancer 101 heading to provide you with needed information.

Other sections of the website will help you better understand how to move through the cancer experience once you have chosen/completed treatment (Survivorship). We also have sections on Research, Advocacy, our Services and Inspirational Topics and Resources.

Please explore our website and know we wish you well.
